As a psychotherapeutic counsellor, I listen attentively and draw on a range of therapeutic approaches, particularly psychodynamic and existential–humanistic perspectives. I aim to offer a thoughtful and supportive space, accompanying you through life's difficulties and helping you to make better sense of your experiences and how you want to live. I am a 34-year-old man and often work with young men. I also specialise in relational counselling and work extensively with couples from a wide range of backgrounds, identities, and sexualities. Since 2024, I have practised in a variety of settings, including NHS Talking Therapies and Relate. My therapeutic work is informed by ongoing engagement with the social sciences and humanities. I hold a BA, MA, and PhD, and have been teaching in higher education since 2016. I currently teach at the University of Oxford, including courses such as What makes life meaningful? Perspectives from anthropology and Therapy as anthropology: engagements with the human condition.
